Dentures

background

We will work with every patient to help them save their teeth, but there are times that several teeth or all the teeth can’t be preserved. At that point, our focus shifts to providing that patient with comfortable, attractive dentures. Our goal is to fit our patient with dentures that look just like natural teeth and so are undetectable. They should also fit the tissues in the patient's mouth properly so no sore spots are created. With our expertise and demand for excellence in every service we provide, this level of quality comes naturally.

We can design and create partial dentures, complete dentures for the upper or lower arch, or dentures that are supported by dental implants. Each type of denture has specific applications and benefits.

Partial Dentures

These dentures replace a few or several teeth. They can replace a few teeth in a row or missing teeth scattered around the mouth. Their versatility makes them very useful.

Partial dentures are secured with hooks or clasps that attach to nearby healthy teeth. The key to comfortable partial dentures is ensuring that these attachments do not irritate gums or damage nearby teeth. The replacement teeth are normally anchored to a gum-colored acrylic base.

Complete Dentures

With complete dentures, the quality of the original impression taken, the design, the manufacture, and the materials used are what makes them a success. We take pride in executing each step correctly so our patient gets complete dentures that fit well, require little or no adhesive, and are durable enough to last a long time. We use our sense of aesthetics to ensure the new dentures harmonize with a patient’s appearance.

All-on-4 Dentures

These are dentures supported by dental implants. The first step is to carefully place dental implants in the strongest, sturdiest part of the bone in the upper or lower jaw. We utilize a stent-guided dental implant system to ensure precision placement. When four implants (or more, if needed) have been strategically placed in the bone, the complete denture can be attached to the connecting points of each implant. Finally, a patient with dentures can eat what they want and not have to think about the denture coming loose and embarrassing them. For a patient who is facing life with dentures, this option offers them a more carefree system of tooth replacement.

Treating Our Patients with Concern and Respect

Because we are passionate about caring for our patients and our community, we want each patient who receives dentures from our office to have an ideal experience. No one wants to lose any teeth, so when it must happen we want to restore our patients to the most comfortable lifestyle possible. When their partial or complete dentures look great and are problem-free, then we feel we have done our job. Plus when we provide dentures, we include several fitting sessions to ensure a comfortable fit.
